Micotsuki ~ Shivamoon
Over a year has passed since the first album was created by Mico & myself ~ StarSeedGarden. Together we spread the seeds of music across Japan, Taiwan, China, Thailand, India and finally back to Australia where the journey began. During that tour the inspiration of the next album began as did the recording process in various countries creating a range of atmosphere reflective to the different environments and countries. Inspiring new sounds and innovative shapes that would be come the next album: The Rainbow Vibration.
The concept and the music is representing the grand spectrum of individual colors; a unique diverse array of sounds and languages which bring a sense of union to the notion of harmony in diversity. The album/ song title 'Rainbow Vibration' came during a festival outside Tokyo Japan called Hikari Matsuri (the festival of Light) jamming with myself on Shakuhachi, Mico Vocals and a few Japanese characters on Djembe and Tsugumi Tanaka on guitar / vocals who had also traveled from Australia back to Japan and was singing ‘Mullumbimby kara Byron Bay’ which means from Mullumbimby to Byron (famous towns in N.SW Australia)…… which led us singing all through the universe of sounds right to the rainbow vibration itself which felt to be such a fresh and appealing concept. For those who don’t know ~ the Byron region is regarded also as a Rainbow region for both alternative and indigenous reasons to the native Aboriginal custodians of that land. |
Rainbow Vibration
After a year of Recording; mixing and collaborating with a few different artists along the way including from Japan Yuuji Hiromoto on Tabla in track 3 - 4; Shunsuke Okazaki Tibetan throat singing & electronic elements in track 4 by Taco Chang and track 2 by the Bhaktas who we met in India as well as backing vocals from China was the birthing process of this album. At last when we came back to Byron ~ the place where MicotsukiShivamoon's Duo first formed we made the final touches, soon to discover next that also Mico was pregnant. The album itself was then mastered by Audio Engineer Kamal Engles who was picked specifically due to his previous work with other great artists such as Deva Premal, Pia etc. The album was crowdfunded successfully in Japan and has now been released in Tokyo & is available online for purchase. “9 colors of diversity in harmony”をテーマに、7色を超え、9色の異なったカラー（楽曲）で構成された当アルバム。こちらは、国境、宗教、文化、性別という枠を超え、オルタナティブなライフスタイルから生まれたナーダ（音）のジェダイとしての私たちの生きかたそのものを象徴する一枚に仕上がりました。また、世界中からヨギー、アーティスト、ヒーラー、音楽家が集まり、各々、独特の個性を放ちながら、一つの完ぺきな倍音を奏でるレインボータウン、Byron Bayのヴァイブレーションそのもの、といってもよいでしょう。 22本もの弦を持つフュージョンギター、チャットランギから繰り出されるクリスタルスライドに織り込まれるマントラ（言霊）… 日本は伊勢、宮崎、お遍路文化の四国をはじめ、インドは古都ヴァラナシ、ヨガの聖地リシケシと、巡礼の旅を通して現場でレコーディングされた音源には、聖地のヴァイブレーションがぎゅぎゅっとそのまま詰まっています。
